The team at Bharathi Eye Hospital is led by Dr. Swarupa Rani., a specialist in cornea surgery with more than 20 years of experience in the field.

She graduated M.S.Ophthalmology with honors from Kurnool medical college in  1992 and went on to finish “ Cornea and Microsurgery fellowship” at Aravind eye institute, Madurai in 1995. She is a pioneer in starting the first eye bank in Rayalaseema over 2 decades ago.  She is widely recognised as one of the top cataract surgeons. In her vast experience over 30 years she has operated over 1 Lakh cataract surgeries and over 3000 keratoplaties.
